Privacy
We can't read your manuscript.
Not as a policy, but as an architecture. It never leaves your Mac, and there is no server to send it to. Here is the whole picture, in plain language.
What we don’t collect
Your manuscript, your chapters, your exported PDFs and EPUBs, and your book’s content never reach us. Squire Editor has no account system, no cloud sync, and no analytics inside the app. There is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing being gathered.
What the app does, and where
Everything happens on your own machine. Your book lives as plain text files in a folder you choose. Squire Editor reads those files, typesets them, and writes the PDF and EPUB back to your disk. It works with the internet turned off.
The one internet moment
If you buy the Full Edition, activating your license is the single time the app talks to the network. It sends your license key to verify it and nothing else about your book. That check is handled by our payments provider, not by a server we run.
Payments
The Full Edition is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which handles checkout and card details. We never see or store your card number. Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record and processes payment data under its own privacy terms.
This website
The site you are reading is static and privacy-respecting. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising trackers. If we ever measure traffic, it will be with a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool that counts visits in aggregate and never builds a profile of you.
